PLEASE NOTE: As of August 2023, I have moved permanently to Minneapolis, Minnesota. I foster and pet sit for greyhounds in the area. I don’t charge for pet sitting but a donation to one of the local groups is encouraged.

I've never met a dog I didn't love. My family had a series of lovable mutts - Jigsy, Moose and Tramp - while I was growing up in Minneapolis. As an adult, I fell in love with greyhounds and sighthound mixes and had eight of them over 25 years. As an animal shelter volunteer and pet sitter, I have fallen in love with lots of other breeds big and small. While I have never had a cat of my own, I have cared for and loved many as a pet sitter. I’m detail oriented, calm, caring and conscientious and I take pride in what I do.
I worked in corporate event planning/management for 25 years, at one point traveling up to 100 days a year. While I still love to travel, I'm happy to do it for fun these days. GIVING BACK
In the past, I donated a portion of BRC earnings to animal rescue related non-profit organizations. Previous organizations include Morris Animal Foundation, Galgos del Sol, Greyhound Adoption League of Texas - Central Texas, MN SNAP (Minnesota Spay Neuter Assistance Program), Austin Bulldog Rescue, Compassion Without Borders, Can Do Canines, Greyhound Rescue Austin, TRAPRS (Trapping, Rescue and Pet Recovery Service) and Austin Wildlife Rescue.
There are so many animals in need all over the world. When work brought me to Thailand, I extended my stay and spent a day volunteering at Care For Dogs in Chiang Mai. I also spent several days at Boon Lott's Elephant Sanctuary (BLES) near Sukhothai. In addition to rescuing elephants, BLES has rescued dogs, cats, tortoises, wild boar, and more.
As an animal shelter volunteer, I earned the President's Volunteer Service Award for hours spent at Austin Animal Center walking dogs of all sizes, helping promote animals and working with adopters to find the right pet to adopt.
